Charts Recap for April 11th - 17th, 2022

We’ve got a fresh top-ten best-seller chart up for the week! All-in-all it has been a pretty stable week in our charts with most of last week’s big new releases holding onto a spot. That includes our repeat number-one record: the self-titled debut from WET LEG. This LP from the UK indie upstarts has been hotly anticipated, and the hype has truly been lived up to!

This week’s highest charting new arrival comes from KURT VILE with his latest LP Watch My Moves coming in at number six. The eighth record from the laid-back Philadelphian songwriter is a further refinement of his signature style of woozy rock n roll loaded with everyday observations. A fine record for chilling out.

And at number ten we’ve got our highest charting fresh reissue with Things We Lost In The Fire by LOW. At this point there is no clear cut best album from the slowcore pioneers, but this one from 2001 certainly deserves to be in any such conversation. It is perhaps the clearest distillation of the band’s sound. Come and get a copy before these vanish again!
