Charts Recap for February 28th - March 6th, 2022

We’ve got a lot of new titles in this round of our weekly top-ten best-seller charts. That includes a new number one: Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By from LOVAGE, a conceptual project masterminded by super producer Dan The Automator. This is a reissue of the lone Lovage record from 2001, a hip-hop inflected homage to the vintage mood records of yesteryear. The record manages to be very fun, funny, and sexy. Give a listen.

We’ve got a very worthy locally-minded benefit record making a high chart appearance at number three this week. The Rain City Relief compilation features tracks from The Black Tones, Smokey Brights, Shaina Shepherd and many more excellent local musicians. The proceeds from the record will be going to worthy Seattle community projects, you can get the full scoop HERE.

And we’ve got a new record from one of our favorite new Seattle soul acts making its Sonic Boom chart debut this week at number seven. THE DIP is back with a brand new full-length record called Sticking With It. Fans of tightly played vintage soul should absolutely get familiar with these guys. Theil last EP was one of our favorite local releases of the year in 2021.
