Charts Recap for March 14th - 20th, 2022

We’ve got a new week’s top-ten best-sellers chart up. And we’ve got a familiar record back up at number-one. SZA is once again top dawg in our charts with 2017’s Ctrl being this week’s best selling record. Despite being a few years old, every restock of this one surges back into the charts. It has become a cornerstone record for the modern R&B sound, a true modern classic.

Our top charting new-arrival this week comes from the much loved and much missed UK experimental rock combo BROADCAST. Their newly issued Maida Vale Sessions has managed a number seven chart placement in its first week out. This LP features live in-studio performances from the late nineties on throughout their career. It’s great to see new sounds emerging from such a great band.

We’ve got another new-arrival right behind it at number eight. It is the latest compilation put together by the infallible taste-making SOUL JAZZ RECORDS label, titled Life Between Islands. The record documents the rich musical history of the British Caribbean diaspora, ranging from reggae to electronic and covering decades of fruitful underground sounds.
