Charts Recap for February 21st - 27th, 2022

We’ve got up our top-ten best-sellers chart for the final week of February 2022. For the THIRD straight week we’ve got Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You by BIG THIEF as our number-one record, narrowly fending off the new Beach House record for the second week running. The expansive double LP spans nearly an hour and a half and crosses genres throughout. One of the most ambitions indie rock records we’ve heard in a bit. Get familiar.

The only other newcomer to our charts this week is down at number ten with the Life On Earth record from HURRAY FOR THE RIFF RAFF. For the uninitiated, this is the project of songwriter Alynda Segarra making sounds self described as “nature punk”. The singer has eight albums of eccentric folk music under the name, this being the latest. The reviews have been uniformly glowing!

Also, we’ve had the new EDDIE VEDDER solo record Earthling hanging around the charts a few weeks now. Pretty impressive for what is so far a CD only release in 2022. We’ll certainly make some noise once the vinyl version is set to hit shelves.
