Charts Recap for September 6th - 12th, 2021

We’ve got another week in the books and a new top-ten best-sellers chart up! A new record from some old favorites has debuted at number one! LOW is back again with their newest full-length Hey What. The slowcore pioneers, now a duo, are still experimenting in melding highly processed sounds to their trademark melancholic harmonies, much like 2018’s Double Negative. Another great record from Low!

Hot on Low’s heels is the brand new record from KACEY MUSGRAVES, Star-Crossed. It’s her fifth full-length and first since 2018’s smash hit The Golden Hour. This is her entry into the timeless break-up/divorce record catalog, which any record nerd can tell you can be very fertile material for a songwriter. The new tone helps solidify Kacey as one of the most talented song makers of her generation.

Also, we finally got copies of Pressure Machine by THE KILLERS and it shot straight up our charts. This one finds the band reunited with founding member Dave Keuning and exploring and channeling the tragic americana side of their sound. They even managed a Phoebe Bridgers guest spot on this one. Give a listen.
