Our first set of weekly best-sellers for August 2021 has been calculated and posted! The top ten is stable this week, with many returning records, perennial best-sellers, and the top two unchanged. Number one continues to be held by Happier Than Ever, the latest smash hit full-length from BILLIE EILISH. We’re thinking this one might be hanging around these charts for quite a while!

The late great PRINCE also made an impressive climb in this week’s charts. Welcome 2 America bounced all the way up to number three. The record one of the first intact but shelved records to emerge from Prince’s supposedly massive personal archive of recordings. Though the recordings are around a decade old the songs are eerily relevant to the moment. If this is the quality of a shelved record, we can’t wait to hear more.

Also it looks like some recent hype was enough to launch KANYE WEST back into our top-ten with My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy landing at number six this week. The idiosyncratic rapper has been popping back up in the public eye promoting his forthcoming new record Donda. This it would seem has sparked a few to revisit what is arguably the artist’s crowning achievement. Here’s hoping the delay on physical copies of the new one isn’t too long.
