Charts Recap for October 11th - 17th, 2021

Fresh top-ten best-sellers just posted! We’ve got a repeat number-one record, for the second straight week BRANDI CARLILE’s In These Silent Days is Sonic Boom’s best-seller. The record is a hit among critics, some claiming it to be Brandi’s best. Here’s some praise from American Songwriter: “This is, in every way, a crowning affair, one that’s destined to be considered a high point in Carlile’s ever-expansive career.”

Last week’s highest profile new-release managed a number three placement in this week’s charts with the ~50th anniversary edition of Let It Be by THE BEATLES finally being released. The reissue campaign sees a few formats hitting shelves, some of which are packed with unreleased cuts, expanded inserts, the whole works! Collectors rejoice.

And while not quite Beatles-big, this week sees another reissue campaign we’re super happy about here at the shop. UK post-punk legends ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN have seen their initial run of 80’s records officially reissued! Of the four released only the moody and majestic 1984 classic Ocean Rain managed to sneak into our charts at number ten this week.
