Charts Recap: January 11th - 17th, 2021

Our weekly best-sellers are up! This week sees the first new music of 2021 on top of the charts! JEFF TWEEDY, the recently prolific Wilco frontman, has the number one record at our shop with Love Is The King. This must be one of the first full-lengths to hit our shelves conceived, written, recorded, and released in pandemic times. And it’s a great record for the moment, dig into it with this glowing review from No Depression Mag.

Also, in a case of powerful restocks, the recently back-in-print Because The Internet by CHILDISH GAMBINO has charged back into our charts for the first time in a LONG while. Donald Glover’s profile might be a little higher now, he’s since become Lando Calrissian among other things, this is arguably where he found his musical voice. Originally released in 2013, who knows how long these will be around.

Also with a strong week, we’ve got BUCK MEEK at number four with Two Saviors. You might know Buck from his other band, Big Thief, as they’ve certainly appeared in the Sonic Boom charts plenty of times. His solo record finds the artist in a mellow mood, as these are some soothing folk-rock sounds. We’re just fine with that, give a listen.
