Charts Recap: August 16th - 22nd, 2020

Our weekly charts are up, and we’ve got a new best-seller along with plenty of new titles crashing the party. This weeks number one was Folklore, the latest from Taylor Swift. Undoubtedly this one was fueled by the super special and indie-exclusive signed CDs we received. First batch is gone, but as of today we got ONE MORE BATCH. Call to check stock, these are in-person only purchases. Will be gone soon.

Also, Bright Eyes is back! Last year’s STAFF-PICKED Better Oblivion Community Center record (Conor & Phoebe Brdgers) found us hoping for more from one of our store favorite songwriters. Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was finds Conor back with the Bright Eyes ensemble for the first time in almost ten years! Clearly we’re not the only ones excited.

Plenty of other new-release love to go around in the top-ten this week too. PJ Harvey had some records reissued, Naked Giants are back, Bully is sounding incredible, and Lianne La Havas grabbed number six with her new self-titled record. This one is a stripped down break-up record, full of soul with her excellent voice front and center. Give a listen!
