Charts Recap: February 3rd - 9th, 2020

We’ve got our charts up for the first full week of February. A familiar record is back out in front of all our other best-sellers. Sonic Boom’s number one record of 2019, Lizzo’s Cuz I Love You is this week’s number one too. Might have had a little bump from her Grammy awards the week previous. The night’s big winner is in our charts too with Billie Eilish sitting at number eight.

Our number two record this week is one we’re sure has been hotly anticipated. Texas Sun is a new collaborative EP from Leon Bridges and Khruangbin. Independently both of these artists have made great records that were planted themselves in these very same charts through much of 2019. The mix here is great with both artists bringing to the recording exactly what you’d hope! True Texan soul.

This week also saw the return of Green Day with their first record in years, approaching their fourth decade as a band. The new one, Father Of All, finds the band evading the pervasive politics of the time. Billie Joe describes this on as an homage to “the lifestyle of not giving a fuck”. Yeah, good, okay.
